There will be two Sultans in Sultan, or so it seems. Yash Raj Films has reportedly zeroed-in on actor Amit Sadh to play the younger version of the protagonist in the film starring Salman Khan in the lead role.
Salman, who plays a Haryanvi wrestler, will apparently only play the 30-plus Sultan in the Aditya Chopra-produced film. The makers reportedly felt that Amit Sadh was a suitable candidate to play the junior Sultan.
A mid-day report states that filming has begun without the lead actress being finalised.
Salman, meanwhile, has been undergoing grueling workouts and martial arts training for his role.

This could be THE casting coup of the year. Amit Sadh playing the younger Salman Khan? If sources are to be believed Amit, who catapulted to fame with his low-key performance as a reluctant Hindu extremist in Kai Po Che, will portray the young Salman in director Ali Abbas Zafar's Sultan.
Says a source in the know, "While Salman would be seen playing the 30-plus avatar of his character for the actor's younger portion it was felt that Amit Sadh was a suitable candidate."
The makers of Sultan have apparently noticed a passing resemblance between Salman and Amit Sadh.
Randeep Hooda is also doing a role in Sultan. "It's a strong role of a Haryanvi character, though not of Salman's coach, as reported. RFeroze Sheikh was just 14 when his father Noorullah Sharif died under the wheels of Salman Khan’s Land Cruiser.
Today, the young man of 27 remained stoic after Bombay High Court acquitted the actor of all the charges against him.
Five words summed up how stoic. “I still watch his movies,” Feroze said.
After Noorullah’s death, his widow Salma had worked as a domestic help to raise her three children. But the destitution of those hard years became harder to bear every time they knocked on the gates of Salman’s seaside luxury residence to seek humanitarian aid from the star who now runs the Being Human franchise that contributes to charity.
They were shooed away each time.andeep has been chosen for the part as he is Haryanvi, and also Salman thought him appropriate for the character," says the source.
According to sources close to the film, Randeep doesn't play a wrestler in Sultan. Incidentally, Randeep was to play a Haryanvi boxer in film to be directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia.
“To his guards we were like dirty dogs. Yet I bear nobody any grudge. His acquittal or conviction means nothing to me, I lost my childhood. I know it was not worth much even when my father was around as we were still poor. But I was not an orphan,” Feroze said after the verdict.
“There was a time when some compensation was promised to us from his side. It never came,” he said, adding, “I still watch his movies.”
Feroze and his mother now live in a slum in Malad, as does Abdul Rauf Shaikh, another victim of that September 2002 night. Abdul was then 22 and lost a leg when the SUV ploughed into the sleeping pavement dwellers.
“I was lucky I lived. I do not get good work because of my lost leg, I do petty jobs to support my family. But I know if the courts of man cannot give justice to the poor like me, in the house of God I will be heard,” Abdul said.
Salman Khan has been training in mixed martial arts and wrestling for the last two months for ‘Sultan’. The film is about wrestling and its tagline says, “Wrestling is not a sport, it’s about the fighting that lies within.”
Now this new still from the film is making rounds on social media where Salman is in a boxing ring with chiseled body, short hair and his boxing gloves.
Superstar Salman Khan met his fan Abdul Basit from Pakistan after his successful liver transplant was performed at a hospital in the capital.
The 11-year-old, a resident of Pakistan, developed severe jaundice soon after birth.
To prevent complications like brain damage and hearing loss from this condition, Abdul underwent continuous phototherapy in a hospital during the first two months of his life. Thereafter, he was discharged to go home and continue the phototherapy treatment.
As he grew older, his skin thickened and the light penetration decreased, making it less effective. Since the only permanent treatment was a liver transplant, he was referred to the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in Delhi.
According to Anupam Sibal, senior consultant, paediatric gastroenterologist and hepatologist and group medical director at Apollo Hospitals Group: “With the new liver Abdul has received the enzyme he was not born with and his eyes are pearly white and he has finally bid adieu to his constant companion, the phototherapy unit.”
“The family expressed a desire to meet Salman Khan and were delighted that Abdul could meet his hero Salman in Mumbai.”
